KHQS Meetings and Covid

Updated 07/27/21

The KHQS Board recognizes that our members are eager to be able to meet again in person for retreats and seminars. We also know that many of our members have medical vulnerabilities, or at-risk family members, that makes them wary of participating in events that may increase their risk of getting sick.We have received inquiries about upcoming events and how we will move forward with scheduled events in a manner that keeps participants safe.

In accordance with current CDC guidelines and guidance from the Kentucky Department of Health, KHQS recommends the following:

That all members participating in meetings, seminars and retreats hosted by KHQS be fully vaccinated.
If you choose not to be vaccinated, we ask that you be free of any signs of illness before attending a KHQS event. For the care and safety of all members participating, you should consider securing a negative Covid test before attending, particularly if there is a possibility you have been exposed to the virus. We want all members to be able to participate in KHQS activities with confidence, and feel confident none of our members would willingly choose to harm others inKHQS.
While members will not be required to show proof of vaccination, we trust that each of you will carefully and prayerfully consider any choices you make that could put your fellow members in harm’s way.
We will abide by all Covid precautions established by our hosting venues throughout the year and we will post information about these measures with event registration, or as soon as information becomes available. This includes any precautions related to mask-wearing, temperature checks or social distancing requirements for indoor gatherings.
Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will be provided at all events. And we will strive to arrange classrooms in a way that accommodates social distancing that makes our members comfortable.

We are all eager to return to normal activities within KHQS. The KHQS Board believes we can do so with prudence, and in loving care of our fellow members.
